Robin is LILL’s VP and has been with the company since Jen began the business almost 10 years ago!

What’s in your LILL bag?
My CAROLINA (love how organized it keeps me) and a SAMANTHA for lipgloss and little things are at the bottom. I keep my blackberry, some pens and a CONNOR with business cards in the handy interior pockets- up high and easy to grab. And both in and on the other side of the zipped divider is all the kid stuff! 3 books, a sippy cup, a few toys, an extra diaper and a rolled-up bib today!

What is the greatest thing about being a LILL mom?
Having so many other moms to share stories with and get advice from!

What has being a mom taught you about life?
Wow – it’s hard to put into adequately into words. Overwhelmingly, the thing that comes to my mind is LOVE. I didn’t know HOW deep and strong and unending it really could be – and that it just grows and grows.

Favorite mommy moment or proudest mom moment:
There are so many! Right now – I’m loving watching my daughter and son start to really play together – they chase each other around giggling and then collapse on the floor in a tangled heap just laughing and rolling around. It’s awesome.

Anything else you’d like to share:
I keep a journal for my kids. I was better at updating it when I had only one child, but I’ve still kept up with it for both my daughter and my son. I write in it every few days or every few weeks. I plan on giving it to them when they are grown and having kids of their own.

Erika has been with LILL for 3 years now, starting in the Production Headquarters. She recently took on a new role as LILL’s Marketing Associate.

What’s in your LILL bag? Since having my 1st baby-Isabel, being a new mom is very unpredictable. My SUSAN carries many many essentials; diapers, wipes, bum cream, extra bibs, burp clothes, bottles, blanket, emergency onesies, socks, pants, emergency entertainment; rattle, glowworm, and my aspirin! I also like to use the pockets on the outside to carry documents I might need for a doctor’s visit. You NEVER know what kind of day you’ll have or Isabel might have for that matter. Her bag is bigger than MINE! I love all the extra pockets to fit everything that my little peanut needs.

Greatest thing about being a LILL mom? Working at LILL, you see so many Moms and it’s always nice to get a different mom point of view on things. There are so many new moms like me and it’s especially nice to see someone else going through the same sleepless nights or new dad issues, or frustrations! Those are always fun to share!
Working here at LILL is very rewarding! Jen Velarde, founder and President, is very family oriented and understands how important our families are. I currently work 4 days a week so I can spend a day with my 4 month old daughter and I am so extremely grateful to have that advantage. There have been first-time moments I wouldn’t have seen or heard if I weren’t around more.

What has being a mom taught you about life? I have always felt that I was born married and to be a mommy. Now that I have my husband and my baby, I’ve never felt more certain about anything else my whole life. Just looking at my daughter makes me think, “You are the reason I was born….” But I’ve also learned a very valuable lesson; “don’t lose yourself or bury yourself into your child if you have a partner/husband.” I know people who have and are no longer w/their partner. I’ve learned that you still have to make time for yourself and your partner. Once your child/children grow up and move on, you’re left with no one else but each other and you still want to know your significant other.

Favorite mommy moment or proudest mom moment: My favorite time of the day with Isabel is in the morning the moment she wakes up; she has the biggest smile on her face and seems so excited to see me. Again, I am grateful to have a day of the week off here at LILL because I look forward to seeing that smiling face, it makes my day! Another is when I act like a total idiot with Isabel, I make her giggle and crack up; the crazier/insane things I do, the more giggle she lets out. Best sound in the world!
Anything else you’d like to share: I just think it’s funny how I’m always talking about Isabel and how many stories I have about poop! It’s something you won’t understand until you’re a mommy yourself. It’s pretty crazy, and funny.

Amy is LILL’s Web Store Manager and has been with LILL for a little over 6 years now.

What’s in your LILL bag? The handy interior sleeve pockets organize my phone, camera and snacks for Jack. I have my JACK in there along with several Matchbox cars, a plastic dinosaur, a sippy cup, my wallet, an AUDREY filled with my essentials and a book for Jack. Once I stored a pineapple in it to carry to work! It still fit all my other belongings in it too.

Greatest thing about being a LILL mom? There’s lots of other mommies around to get great advice from! Plus, there’s always a sympathetic ear to be lent when the challenges of motherhood arise.

What has being a mom taught you about life? Being a mom has taught me a lot about myself. Motherhood has helped me to think quickly and creatively and has also helped me develop a tremendous amount of patience. Most importantly, it truly helps me enjoy the little things in life.

Favorite mommy moment: When Jack called me “mommy” for the first time.

Anything else you’d like to share: I love being Jack’s mom! I love hilarity of being around a 2 and ½ year old. I never know what he’s going to say or do next. He amazes me everyday with something new that he’s learned and there’s not a day that goes by that he does not make me laugh hysterically with his ridiculousness. We are expecting Jack’s baby brother at the end of May and I can’t wait for them to meet! I know Jack will be an awesome big bro.

What has being a mom taught you about life?
Well being a single Mom, it truly wasn’t easy, I had to work 7 days a week 12 hours a day to just get by, I had days that I didn’t know if I could go on. Sometimes I didn’t how I was going to put food on the table, and with two big boys to feed, you find away, Thanks to my Mom, she taught me how to make homemade bread, gravy, dumplings and so on, she always said if you have flour, beans in the house you will never go hungry , She raised 10 of us, great lady, she taught me how to be a good mom and that if you work hard, and have lots of love in the home you can over come just about anything that life puts in front of you.

Favorite mommy moment or proudest mom moment: Giving birth to two healthy boys! The birth of my grandchildren that’s a grandmas moment!

Anything else you’d like to share: I love working for LILL, I have to say I have worked many jobs in my life, LILL has to be the best job I have ever had the pleasure to work at. Thanks Jen & Robin.
